Commodities Specialist Job Description:
Buyer / Commodities Specialist is responsible to procure commodities as assigned by Supply Chain Department Manager for any raw material, MRO supplies, tooling, parts, outside processing and all other requirements for Rotor Clip operations. Responsible for planning, control, and monitoring of supply chain activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, leveraging worldwide logistics, matching supply with demand and measuring performance globally.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Plan and execution of that plan to ensure flow of material for production while maintaining equitable inventory levels using Syteline ERP programs Work with Tech Sales Team on material for new part development Coordinate with Production Control to ensure material meets production and warehouse requirements Meet with vendors in office or on site as required to discuss purchases and get market information. Understand material and specification requirements Work with Management to develop new sources for commodities and monitor activities of vendors. Work with management on new projects for equipment and manufacturing of raw materials Receives and processes purchase requisitions from ALL Departments in Syteline Negotiates for supply items, particularly plant and machine maintenance requirements. Any other projects assigned by Management Skills College Degree - (Engineering Preferred) Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication practices Ability to use AI powered procurement platforms and analytic tools Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail Strong organizational skills Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
