About the Role We are seeking a Procurement Buyer - Packaging to manage packaging purchasing, supplier relationships, costs, inventory, and production support. The ideal candidate will have food manufacturing experience, preferably in meat, poultry, or protein processing . Key Responsibilities Purchase packaging materials including films, vacuum bags, boxes, labels, and trays . Manage suppliers, negotiate pricing, and monitor quality and delivery. Maintain appropriate inventory and ensure uninterrupted supply for production. Drive cost savings, RFPs, and supplier performance improvements . Ensure packaging meets FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF, and food-grade requirements . Work with QA, Operations, Production, and R&D on packaging improvements and new products. Qualifications Experience in procurement/purchasing within food manufacturing . Strong knowledge of packaging materials and supplier management. Experience with negotiation, inventory, and cost analysis . Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems . Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Meat, poultry, or protein manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of FDA/USDA, HACCP, and SQF is a plus. #Dorsey123
