Job Description
Description Our client is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join a growing manufacturing organization and provide immediate contract support to its Supply Chain team. In this role, the Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing materials and components, managing purchase orders from creation through delivery, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring critical inventory is available to support production and engineering initiatives. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency by monitoring material requirements, expediting orders, resolving supply issues, and building strong supplier relationships. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. We're looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, communicating with vendors, and partnering with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to keep projects moving forward. - At least 2 years of experience in buying, procurement, or supply chain support.
- Working knowledge of supply chain management and purchasing best practices.
- Experience sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, and managing supplier performance.
- Ability to track multiple purchase orders and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams.
- Proficiency with procurement systems or ERP tools used for inventory and material planning.
- High attention to detail when handling records, pricing information, and order documentation.
