A WNY healthcare organization has a need for a Temporary Purchasing Specialist to support the agency`s day-to-day purchasing operations by processing purchase requests and invoices, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures. The Specialist also helps manage vendor relationships and purchasing system access and supports the development of Standard Operating Procedures to promote efficient, consistent purchasing practices. Key Responsibilities Process purchase requests and invoices in accordance with agency policies and procedures Guide staff on preferred vendors, required approvals, funding sources, and program codes Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on orders, pricing, availability, deliveries, service issues, and scheduling Obtain vendor quotes and support grant-funded and emergency purchases as needed Maintain purchasing accounts, system access, and approval structures Respond to purchasing-related help desk requests Identify and escalate purchasing, financial, contractual, or compliance issues as appropriate Support equipment deliveries, installations, site relocations, inventory, and other operational needs in partnership with Facilities and vendors Assist with purchasing-related contracted services and vendor management Support the Purchasing Director in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements Associate`s degree in business, administration, or a related field 1+ years of purchasing/procurement experience Experience with purchasing, invoice processing, vendor management, and purchasing policies and procedures Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with staff and leadership at all levels Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to identify issues and determine when escalation is needed Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability to learn and effectively use agency-specific purchasing and help desk systems Key Resource Group, LLC considers applicants for all positions without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, citizenship, veteran status, gender expression and/or identity, or any other class protected by federal, state, or local laws.
