$63,500•67,000 per year First shift 8am•5PM About the Role We are seeking an Entry-Level Buyer/Planner to support purchasing, production planning, inventory management, and the movement of materials through the manufacturing process. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or early-career professional interested in supply chain, purchasing, procurement, production planning, inventory management, and manufacturing. In this role, you will work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations. You will gain hands-on experience with purchasing processes, production planning, ERP/MRP systems, supplier communication, inventory management, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do Support purchasing activities for materials, components, equipment, and services from approved suppliers. Prepare requests for quotation (RFQs), issue purchase orders, and help confirm pricing, delivery dates, and terms. Monitor open purchase orders and communicate with suppliers to support on-time delivery. Support production planning by tracking material availability, work orders, and production requirements. Maintain accurate purchasing, planning, inventory, supplier, and part information in business systems. Communicate material shortages, supplier delays, schedule changes, and potential delivery risks to internal teams. Help resolve purchasing, shipping, receiving, quality, and invoice discrepancies. Prepare reports and analyze information related to purchase orders, supplier performance, inventory, material availability, and production status. Support inventory management efforts by balancing material availability with inventory cost and inventory-turn objectives. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, process efficiency, lead-time reduction, and on-time delivery. Assist with researching alternate suppliers and evaluating supplier capabilities, quality, delivery performance, and other requirements. Participate in supplier meetings and site visits as needed. Learn and follow company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory and industry requirements. What You Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field . Internship, co-op, academic project, or coursework related to supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, planning, logistics, or operations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with data, spreadsheets, reports, and business systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Strong interest in learning purchasing, production planning, inventory management, and manufacturing processes. Interest in continuous improvement, Lean principles, and operational excellence. Preferred Qualifications Internship or project experience in manufacturing, supply chain, purchasing, planning, logistics, or operations. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, purchase orders, inventory planning, or production scheduling . Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing, supplier management, inventory turns, lead times, or cost reduction. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools. Exposure to aerospace, industrial, automotive, or engineered-product manufacturing. Why Join Us?
