Join a Food Manufacturing client founded in Long Island who is rapidly growing! Brand new position to oversee ingredients purchasing across 2 facilities! About Our Client Our client is a food manufacturer & distributor focused on producing premium, high quality inspired foods. Job Description Develop and execute procurement strategies to source high-quality ingredients. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve cost-effective agreements. Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality and delivery standards. Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively. Analyze market trends and data to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier agreements. Resolve supply chain issues promptly to minimize disruptions. Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain processes. The Successful Applicant A successful Senior Buyer should have: Experience with procurement processes and supplier management in the Food Manufacturing industry. Ideal candidate has experience sourcing & purchasing ingredients including (oils, flours, and protein) Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to analyze market trends and apply data-driven decisions. Proficiency in inventory management and demand planning. Attention to detail and the ability to resolve supply chain challenges effectively. Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams.
