Job Description

The Role
  • Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Buyer (MRO) to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
The Buyer (MRO) is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and expediting tooling, MRO (maintenance, repair, operations) supplies, and services. This role helps ensure the right parts are available at the right time, at the best value, while meeting quality, delivery, and cost requirements. The key responsibilities of this Buyer (MRO) include, but are not limited to: Issue purchase orders for tooling, MRO supplies, and services Monitor supplier performance, delivery dates, and order status Expedite late or critical shipments to support production schedules Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, shortages, and quality issues Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules as needed Maintain accurate purchasing records in MRP systems Work closely with production, engineering, and receiving teams Resolve invoices, shipping, and receiving discrepancies Support cost reduction initiatives and supplier improvement efforts Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures

Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience Experience with MRP systems Proficiency using Microsoft Office (skilled with using Microsoft Excel) Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Some travel required
