In this role, you will be the key facilitator in sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring seamless procurement operations that support manufacturing and supply chain excellence. Your proactive approach will help optimize costs, improve quality, and streamline contract management, contributing to the overall efficiency of our supply chain. Duties Coordinate procurement activities across multiple categories, ensuring timely sourcing of materials and services aligned with production schedules. Utilize ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and other supply chain management tools to manage purchase orders, track inventory levels, and monitor procurement workflows. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Conduct root cause analysis on procurement issues to identify process improvements and mitigate risks within the supply chain. Manage supplier performance through regular evaluations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality requirements. Support sourcing initiatives by conducting market research, analyzing pricing trends, and identifying new supplier opportunities. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align procurement strategies with production planning and logistics needs under federal acquisition regulations when applicable. Travel throughout the USA to support business needs 25-50% travel. Support Construction Department Liaison between clients, company and team as needed. Requirements Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or supply chain environments. Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or equivalent platforms for materials management and procurement processes. Expertise in contract negotiation, contract management, and supplier management practices. Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and production planning processes. Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to conduct category management and sourcing activities effectively. Understanding of logistics, pricing strategies, quality management standards, and supply chain fundamentals. Ability to perform root cause analysis to resolve procurement issues swiftly and efficiently. Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) is a plus for organizations working within government contracts.
