A Procurement or Sourcing Specialist is responsible for sourcing and purchasing the goods or services required by an organization, especially tracking overall spend and improving bidding processes. Responsible for maintaining supplier relationships. May also be responsible growing supplier relationships with new and/or existing suppliers.
$30/HR on W2 The Procurement specialist with sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and services required for elevator manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely availability of quality parts at competitive costs while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain. Level 1: (5 positions) 3+ years experience in working with Sourcing and procurement Domain Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronics, and structural components used in elevator systems. Manage purchase requisitions (PR) and convert them into purchase orders (PO) in the ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and new product development. Coordinate with logistics for inbound deliveries and customs clearance (if applicable). Resolve issues related to delivery delays, part shortages, and discrepancies. Identify costsaving opportunities through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and localization initiatives. Work closely with engineering for alternative material or supplier development. Level 2 (5 positions) 5+ years experience in working with Sourcing Domine. Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronics, and structural components used in elevator systems. Conduct RFQs, RFPs, and competitive bidding to achieve best-cost sourcing. Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and long-term agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies. Monitor supplier performance through KPIs such as delivery adherence, quality, cost, and responsiveness. Manage purchase requisitions (PR) and convert them into purchase orders (PO) in the ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and new product development. Coordinate with logistics for inbound deliveries and customs clearance (if applicable). Resolve issues related to delivery delays, part shortages, and discrepancies. Identify costsaving opportunities through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and localization initiatives.
