Job Title:
Procurement Specialist Job Description The Procurement Specialist provides operational procurement services to business partners within the Purchasing Services group. This role involves reviewing purchase requests, determining the proper method for fulfilling them, and completing purchasing activities for basic to medium-complexity requests. The position also requires reassigning complex or higher-value purchase requests when necessary. Additionally, the Specialist delivers medium-complexity procurement issue resolution services to Supply Chain operations staff, business partners, and suppliers. Responsibilities + Execute basic and medium-complexity operational procurement transactions to ensure business partner satisfaction and operational efficiency. + Source services, process purchasing requisitions, and issue purchase orders, including work authorizations and service agreements, according to company policies, processes, and procedures. + Update purchase orders based on change orders and other needs. + Obtain acknowledgment of purchase order receipts from suppliers and update purchase orders accordingly. + Maintain good relationships with business partners and suppliers through high-level customer service while supporting the category strategies established by Strategic Procurement. + Collaborate with the Supply Chain Center of Excellence, Strategic Procurement, and business partners on sourcing events, projects, and other initiatives to address recurring issues, improve efficiency, and enhance satisfaction. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or a related field OR 4 years of relevant procurement or service center experience. + 2 years of relevant customer service and/or procurement experience. + Proficiency with procurement systems. + Strong customer-oriented mindset. + Good understanding of procurement processes, policies, and tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills. + Ability to be persuasive and build credibility. + Experience in procurement analysis, vendor management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract management, and negotiation. Work Environment This role is based at the corporate headquarters in downtown Columbus. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a business casual dress code. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
