Position Summary This position is responsible for managing relationships with suppliers, ensuring efficient inventory management, strategic sourcing, and driving cost reduction initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with direct materials and operations in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow their career with our rapidly expanding company. This is a senior buying role, and will require building reports, analyzing data, and making recommendations for improvement. Key Responsibilities Procure raw materials, components, production supplies, and services required to support manufacturing operations. Issue and manage purchase orders in accordance with production schedules and inventory requirements. Monitor supplier performance related to pricing, quality, delivery, and responsiveness. Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory Research and identify qualified suppliers and evaluate quotations based on cost, quality, and lead time. Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated success in Supply Chain and Materials Management Bachelor's degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with specific experience with MRP/ERP, planning, production & inventory control, and sourcing/procurement. Epicor Kinetic preferred. Strong analytical skills and data driven expertise to make decisions. Project Management, Operational Excellence, and/or Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred. Physical Demands Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment including laptops, keyboards, monitors and phones. The employee is required to sit at a desk/work area for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal; preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; extensive reading. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
