If your goals and values align with Honda's, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future! Job Purpose Take the lead of new model activity within the procurement department. Including event cost roll-up, maker layout status, cost reduction achievement, model target setting, and countermeasure activity needed for overall model success of North American Power Sports & Products. Creates and reports monthly concise summaries to Purchasing Division in support of PS&P leadership. Results will be used to make adjustments to the procurement department work to meet model goals and to raise awareness of issues within the division in real-time, and ensure accurate cost planning and budget attainment for new model programs with significant annual financial impact. Key Accountabilities Lead the procurement department through each new model development by controlling the critical information like parts list, schedule, target achievement, maker layout, event to event conditions changes, budget checks, and countermeasure planning. Inaccurate reporting or correlation can directly impact new model profitability, budget attainment, and investment decisions. Prepare monthly roll ups to give division leadership visibility to critical issues and status against key goals. Coordinate within purchasing, design, project management, cost innovation, and manufacturing on report accuracy. Additionally, confirming any negative downstream impacts for proposed countermeasures. Execute special projects or future business studies to improve new model development KPI's. Support necessary training for team leaders and buyers on event accuracy checks.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience:
Requires 5 of experience with degree or 9+ years related work experience without applicable degree, preferably in PS&P or Automotive field.
Other Job-Specific Skills:
Working knowledge of Honda Purchasing systems. Proficiency with programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, relational database management (QMF/SQL). Lead the projects and interdepartmental activity effectively with other department leadership members. Good planning, implementation, and project leading management skills. Responsible for the tracking, correlation, and reporting of new model program costs and purchasing targets with an annual impact potential exceeding $20M. Reporting accuracy directly influences budget planning, cost reduction achievement, investment decisions, and profitability of North American PS&P new model programs. PS&P DEB
management (DevEX/Manufacturing/Purchasing) Advise on countermeasures when model targets are not being met, including recommendations that may influence hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual program cost performance. Proposal of OS budget to PSP DEB management (Short/Mid term Budget)
Working Conditions Travel:
Average of 1-2 times per month, depending on project demand. Could include some international travel.

Primarily deskwork, frequent keyboarding.
