Raw Material Buyer

Raw Material Buyer General Description:

The Raw Material Buyer will manage all the daily aspects of the Purchasing Department (Raw, Component, Packaging, and MRO). This position is a working position and is the point of contact for daily needs and operations for all lead buyers and supplier quality lead; and reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain.

Responsibilities:

Support and follow the Company Safety Programs Recognize and reduce waste to create a more efficient planning system Supervise the Purchasing Agents and Supplier Quality Lead Ensure adequate planning for the purchase and procurement of raw material supplies needed for production Assist with identifying and resolving raw material supplier issues Identify and provide necessary and appropriate training for employees Other duties as required

Preferred Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field Five years managerial experience Ability to communicate orally and in writing Ability to work as part of a team Computer literate

Job Location:

Performed in the office and production floor with unrestricted movement. Some travel as required.

Computer with appropriate software, general office equipment, and personal protective equipment.
