Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join a leading medical device organization dedicated to advancing patient outcomes in musculoskeletal health in Audubon, PA. In this role, you will collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and planning teams to support day‑to‑day purchasing operations, drive supplier performance, and ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently and cost‑effectively. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, and eager to contribute to a high‑impact supply chain environment.
Responsibilities:
Review and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier quotes to meet operational and production requirements Partner with suppliers, manufacturing, and accounts payable teams to ensure on‑time delivery and invoice accuracy Track and evaluate supplier performance; address issues related to delays, quality problems, or order discrepancies Conduct cost analysis, evaluate volume requirements, and support cost‑reduction initiatives Maintain accurate procurement system data and assist with inventory planning, scheduling, and broader supply chain coordinationRequirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred 1+ year of experience—or relevant internship experience—in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain Hands‑on experience with purchase order management and supplier coordination Strong negotiation, communication, and problem‑solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required) for reporting and data analysis Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail Compensation for thePurchasing Specialist:
$65,000-$70,000Comprehensive Benefits:
