Job Description
Apply Job Type Full-time Description Kleen-Rite Corp., THE reliable supplier to the car wash industry, is seeking a Buyer to join our Purchasing team. Are you a highly motivated and proactive individual with a knack for taking initiative? Do you excel in Microsoft Excel and possess exceptional communication and problem-solving skills? If so, we want YOU to be a part of our dynamic team! This position requires strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, building strong supplier relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure our customers have the products they need when they need them. Difference:
Work with suppliers to obtain product information, pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery schedules. Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders according to established purchasing procedures. Monitor open purchase orders and expedite shipments as needed to ensure timely delivery. Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) and coordinate freight information for incoming shipments. Resolve pricing discrepancies, delivery issues, and other purchasing-related concerns. Monitor inventory levels and forecasts for assigned products, help to reduce excess, slow-moving, and dormant inventory. Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, pricing, delivery, and order accuracy. Work with suppliers to resolve issues involving damaged, defective, or unacceptable products. Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and product information in company systems and records. Tackle challenges head-on with innovative solutions, ensuring uninterrupted supply chains and customer satisfaction. Perform other duties, as assigned. Requirements What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or a related field preferred. Proven 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, buying, procurement, or related supply-chain experience required. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Clear and concise communication abilities, both written and verbal. Strong initiative and motivation to drive results. A collaborative and team-oriented mindset. NetSuite, NetStock or other ERP experience a plus. Must be able to reliably commute to our Columbia, PA office. Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check and drug screening.
