This is a full time direct hire opportunity. Must have purchasing experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.
Job Duties Include:
Understand and utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to schedule orders as well as manage inventory in support of the segment responsible. Determine order requirements within purchasing lead time and initiate purchase orders. Create Purchase Orders per demand and confirm delivery from Suppliers. Ensure product cost fields are accurate and reflect current active Supplier Pricing. Calculate and manage target stocking levels and economic order quantities per SKU throughout the distribution network to ensure high customer service levels. Ensure appropriate communication and processing of changed orders with vendors. Management of railcars placement and chemical logistics Maintain purchase order files, invoice reconciliation and other related purchasing records. Receive inventory into system and resolve discrepancies in quantities on Purchase Orders with vendors. Recommend and assist in development of purchasing related processes and procedures.
Job Requirements Include:
5+ years within a chemical manufacturing environment, with logistics, ordering & planning experience Minimum 5 years of functional experience of manufacturing computer applications; MRP, purchasing, BOM, Inventory Control Etc. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations or Business Mgmt. Strong written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Working knowledge and hands-on experience with manufacturing computer applications: MRP, purchasing, bills of material, inventory control. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics preferred. Knowledge of Rail Logistics Knowledge of chemical procurement
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
