Job Description

Local Environmental Laboratory is seeking a Sample Procurement Technician to join our team. The position requires time spent on the road driving to different locations throughout Northeast PA as well as time in the Laboratory at our Main Facility. Job duties include but are not limited to: Pick Up and/or Collect Samples for a wide range of clients (Drinking Water, Wastewater, Ground Water, Industrial, Lakes, and Pools) Prepare new and existing client schedules and routes for pick up Preparation and delivery of sample supplies to clients Perform miscellaneous onsite field testing and record accurate data Receive and record client samples both in the lab and in the field Ensure that samples are properly received, verified, labeled, and distributed to the appropriate laboratory departments in an accurate and timely manner Monitor and maintain company vehicle maintenance and cleanliness Candidates must: Have a valid driver's license and possess a clean driving record Drive in a safe manner and observe all traffic laws Have Customer Service skills to interface and communicate with new and existing clients via telephone, email, and in person Possess excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask Have attention to detail be able to sit or stand for an extended period of time Be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs Knowledge of NE PA region a plus.
