Job Description
## The group you'll be a part of The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business. ## The impact you'll make At Lam, as a Buyer, you play a pivotal role in our procurement process. You analyze purchase requirements and coordinate purchasing activities across departments to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of inventory. You'll support the processing purchase requisitions, change orders, and the requests quotation (RFQs) from suppliers. Engaging in cost analysis and volume planning within our enterprise-wide systems (ERPs), you negotiate for the best value and explore new supply sources for cost savings. Your expertise ensures Lam's procurement remains efficient and competitive on a global scale. ## What you'll do
- Review, analyze and process purchase requisitions and quotations for materials, components, capital equipment and services.
- Manage purchase orders and changes based on demand.
- Understand, maintain, and report weekly KPIs.
- Maintain records of suppliers, materials, prices, delivery dates and inventories.
- Manage purchase order (PO) releases to meet demand requirements.
- Build key supplier relationships to review open action items, performance, demand forecast, and cost reductions. ## Who we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field with 2+ years of experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent experience.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
- Working knowledge or experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other procurement-related tools.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- This is a graduate eligible role. ## Preferred qualifications
- Experience in the semiconductor industry or other high-tech industries.
- Foundational understanding of commodity market indicators and technical data.
- Excellent negotiation skills to achieve best value pricing.
