Overview Sierra North Construction is a growing California general contractor delivering public-works and commercial projects across Southern California. We are hiring a remote-worker Procurement Officer to own materials sourcing and keep our job sites supplied, on-budget, and on-schedule. Furthermore, this same person should own their own vehicle and be available to attend job walks (LA Area) 1-5 times a week. You will be paid per site visit. Seeking to hire someone for 20-40 hours a week.

Responsibilities Source materials and equipment from take-off/spec lists with our preferred vendors and their competitors to ensure price relevancy/availability Solicit and compare vendor quotes; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery Place and track purchase orders; confirm lead times and coordinate deliveries to job sites Manage vendor and supplier relationships (lumber, plumbing, electrical, flooring, hardware, specialty items) Track spend and schedule accuracy against project budgets and flag long-lead times and price variances early on Keep clean, detailed records of quotes, POs, receipts, and returns/credits Chase long-lead items proactively with ample company-wide communication so nothing stalls the schedule nor creates misleading client expectations Create company PDFs and submit product spec sheets to owners for review Attend assigned job walks, arriving early, taking notes, recording videos/photos and ensuring you meet all pre-conference requirements

Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
