WHERE TEAM SPIRIT BECOMES YOUR CAREER
Purchasing Coordinator Warwick, RI | Hybrid | Full-Time | $47,800-$55,000/yr Do you live for the game? At SquadLocker, we outfit the teams, leagues, schools, and clubs that define athletic culture — and we want someone who gets it from the inside out. Role Overview SquadLocker is looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support the purchasing and planning function. Reporting to the Senior Purchasing Manager, you will be primarily responsible for setting up new items in our system and ensuring product data accuracy across our platforms, while supporting day-to-day purchasing and answering routine inventory questions from our Sales team. This is an excellent opportunity to build foundational knowledge of e-commerce operations, team apparel, and supply chain processes, and to grow within a fast-scaling operations team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, thrives on detailed work, and communicates clearly with internal partners.
Key Responsibilities:
SKU Setup & Item Maintenance Gather product information from vendors to accurately set up product and supply SKUs in NetSuite for the online store builder and bulk ordering. Create numerous SKUs with a high standard of accuracy and maintain item-master data integrity across all records. Update pricing information within our systems to reflect vendor-driven changes, including short-term promotional pricing. Proactively identify items that will be discontinued; update discontinued inventory within the system and communicate internally. Flag data inconsistencies or missing item attributes and work with the Senior Purchasing Manager to resolve them. Sales Support Monitor and answer routine, day-to-day product and inventory questions from the Sales team via Slack and email — including pricing, availability, lead times, and product attributes. Provide accurate item information to sales reps. Complete Sales team ticket requests for new SKUs and item maintenance (e.g., size charts). Communicate proactively when item data changes affect active selling periods or promotions. Purchase Order Entry & Tracking Assist with the daily purchase order (PO) generation process using NetStock and NetSuite; process POs accurately. Track open orders — updating backorders, short shipments, and expected ship dates via NetSuite and Excel. Maintain tracking sheets and backorder reports. Assist in the cancellation and substitution of items on orders to fulfill customer requirements; coordinate with customer service and sales support teams. Communicate with vendors regarding purchase order or item setup needs. Data & Planning Support Maintain accurate, current PO and inventory data that feeds the NetStock demand forecast and reorder-point decisions owned by the Senior Purchasing Manager. Enter and update planning data inputs in NetStock as directed. Compile purchasing and inventory data to support the Senior Purchasing Manager's analysis and reporting. Surface exceptions and data anomalies for the Senior Purchasing Manager's review. Other duties as assigned.
