Type:
full-time Garage Headquarters is hiring a Purchasing Agent to source and manage the doors, hardware, and materials that keep our installation projects on schedule. You'll own purchase orders from request through delivery, negotiate pricing and lead times with vendors, and keep inventory records accurate - working side by side with project managers, installers, and our operations team. This is a full-time, in-house position based in Warwick, RI. Key Responsibilities Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Source and purchase doors, frames, hardware, and installation materials
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times with vendors
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and qualify alternative suppliers Order & Delivery Management
- Create and manage purchase orders in alignment with project schedules
- Coordinate with suppliers to keep deliveries on time and resolve delays or shortages
- Confirm that purchased materials meet quality and specification requirements Inventory & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, and inventory levels
- Monitor material usage and forecast upcoming purchasing needs Cross-Team Coordination
- Partner with operations and project management to keep job timelines on track
- Keep project managers and installers current on order status and expected arrival dates Qualifications
- 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience (construction or building materials preferred)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency with purchasing systems, spreadsheets, and basic accounting tools
- Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines simultaneously
- High attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Skills
- Experience working with vendors and manufacturers in the door or construction industry
- Knowledge of inventory management and job-cost tracking
- Experience with ServiceTitan
