Job Description

Purchasing Specialist - Warwick, RI On-Site $20.00/hour Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Westaff is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist for an immediate opening in Warwick, RI. This is a great opportunity for someone with purchasing or procurement experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and track a high volume of purchase orders, order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery information. Maintain accurate records of estimated ship dates and tracking details. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain order status, invoices, payment information, and delivery confirmations. Investigate and resolve issues related to open purchase orders. Answer inbound calls and serve as a key point of contact for vendors and suppliers. Partner closely with internal Sales and Customer Service teams to provide updates and resolve purchasing concerns. Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with vendors. Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
Qualifications:
1 to 3 years of purchasing, procurement, or related experience. Healthcare industry purchasing experience is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail. Accurate data entry and organizational skills. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
