This position is also responsible for procuring promotional inventory to make to support all Marketing Events.Job Type:
Full Time Responsibilities:
- Support the Customers in all activities.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to maximize profitability.
- Monitor and manage spoils and supply waste to minimize impact.
- Communicate with the Vendor Community to ensure flow of goods and services.
- Resolve purchasing issues between departments and or vendors.
- Ensure Promotional Goods are on time and readily available for numerous coinciding events.
- Work alongside the Category Manager to support their goals and initiatives.
- Represent the company with vendors and customers in a positive manner.
Experience:
- Grocery Store Wholesale Perishable Buying experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 1 full year of buying experience in perishable.
- 5 Years Buying Experience or Any appropriate combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Computer Literacy-Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to work independently with ability to demonstrate problem solving skills .
