Job Description
Junior Buyer responsible for procuring spare parts, repair materials, components, and services to support equipment maintenance, repair operations, and inventory availability. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience with purchasing, procurement, inventory, service operations, or related functions. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Data analysis experience. Experience creating and managing purchase orders. Experience tracking supplier lead times and open orders. Experience resolving purchasing, receiving, shipping, or invoice discrepancies. Preferred Skills Experience with ERP or MRP systems. Experience supporting service and repair operations. Experience with inventory management. Experience with procurement processes. Knowledge of spare parts management. Knowledge of maintenance operations. Experience in aftermarket support environments. Experience with supplier performance tracking. Experience with repair order management. Experience supporting cost-reduction or supplier negotiation initiatives. Job Responsibilities Create and manage purchase orders for spare parts, repair materials, components, and service requirements. Source components and suppliers based on cost, quality, availability, and lead times. Procure critical parts and services required for repair and maintenance operations. Monitor open purchase orders and expedite delayed shipments. Track supplier pricing, availability, lead times, repair status, and order fulfillment. Coordinate repair orders and track material movement throughout service and repair processes. Maintain inventory levels for frequently used spare parts and repair components. Resolve invoice, receiving, warranty, shipping, and supplier discrepancies. Track supplier performance related to quality, turnaround time, and delivery. Perform ERP/MRP purchasing and repair transactions. Maintain purchasing, supplier, and repair documentation. Support supplier negotiations and procurement cost-reduction initiatives. Coordinate procurement activities with Service, Operations, Inventory Control, Engineering, and Finance functions.
