The Procurement Support Specialist plays a key role in assisting Buyers with the execution of procurement activities across assigned commodities. This role manages essential purchasing tasks including RFQs, supplier communication, purchase order preparation, and delivery monitoring. Acting as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams, the specialist helps ensure material availability, compliance with procurement standards, and timely issue resolution. The position requires strong attention to detail, proactive coordination, and the ability to operate with moderate autonomy in a fast‑paced supply chain environment

Job Duties:

Execute procurement activities including issuing RFQs, analyzing supplier quotes, preparing purchase orders, and supporting price negotiations in coordination with Buyers. Manage routine supplier interactions to track order status, resolve basic issues, and maintain alignment on delivery schedules and requirements. Monitor delivery performance, identify potential shortages, and proactively coordinate expedites or escalations to support on‑time material availability. Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ERP data, ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and audit standards. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to communicate order updates, changes, and supplier concerns, supporting efficient workflows and issue resolution. Provide analytical support by collecting procurement data, generating reports, and tracking supplier performance metrics to enable informed decisions by Buyers.

Required Qualifications:

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for creating, tracking, and managing purchase orders. Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting. 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate with moderate autonomy in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across suppliers and internal teams. Solid analytical skills, including experience preparing reports and tracking performance metrics

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting procurement processes such as supplier quoting, PO management, or basic negotiations. Familiarity with additional supply chain systems or tools. Understanding of supply chain principles—lead times, inventory, delivery schedules, and basic material flow. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards). Experience collaborating with Quality, Engineering, or Planning functions. #
