Role Description The Purchasing Office Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, responsible for supporting purchasing activities and general office operations. This role coordinates purchase orders, tracks deliveries, and maintains accurate records of inventory, vendors, and pricing. The coordinator answers phone calls and emails, assists with customer inquiries, and ensures professional communication with suppliers and internal teams. Daily tasks include organizing and filing documents, operating office equipment, updating spreadsheets and databases, and supporting the purchasing team with administrative needs. The role also assists in resolving order discrepancies, preparing basic reports, and contributing to a well-organized and efficient office environment. Qualifications Bilingual Prefered (English/Spanish) Candidates should possess strong Administrative Assistance skills, including scheduling, record keeping, and document organization. Candidates should demonstrate professional Phone Etiquette and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with vendors, customers, and team members. Candidates should be comfortable using Office Equipment such as printers, copiers, scanners, and multi-line phone systems. Candidates should have clear and reliable Communication skills, both written and verbal, for handling correspondence and internal updates. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, order processing, and documentation. Basic proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar tools) and willingness to learn company systems. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently as well as in a team environment. Prior experience in purchasing, logistics, or office coordination is preferred but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is expected.
