Qualifications:
College hours, high school diploma Bachelor's degree (preferred) Minimum of 2 (two) years professional level business experience or one (1) year in school district purchasing, or child nutrition purchasing (preferred) Professional Certification (preferred) Working knowledge of State of Texas purchasing laws and applicable Federal regulations
Primary Purpose:
Collect and review information for all Nutrition and Food Service purchases. Present data and information on NFS purchasing processes including solicitation, contracts, audits and record management in compliance with District Policies and Governmental Rules and Regulations for Nutrition and Food Service Department.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations with respect to public procurement and child nutrition regulations. Collaborate with Nutrition and Food Service and Purchasing Departments to develop and maintain written policies and procedures for food purchases. Lead procurement projects including pre-award and post-award activities. Perform cost price analysis for Nutrition and Food Service purchases. Create and maintain threshold expenditure records/reports including micro-purchases, small purchases, and formal procurement. Maintain documentation of expenditures - aggregate by commodity for internal and external audits. Maintain document record retention schedules for Nutrition and Food Service-related purchases. Assist with collection of information for General Counsel for Public Information Request (PIR). Attend meetings and training with all levels of management as a representative of the Nutrition and Food Services and Purchasing Departments. Attend scheduled meetings and trainings (weekly, monthly, or quarterly) as needed by the Nutrition and Food Service Department. Approve purchase requests, vendor contracts, and expense claims in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures. Work with Nutrition and Food Service and vendors to ensure contract terms are being met. Provide clear and consistent communication with the Nutrition and Food Service Department and Purchasing while meeting assigned deadlines. Maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials. Other duties as assigned.

Personal computer, printer, copier/scanner, calculator, and fax machine.
Working Conditions:
Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions.
