Job Description
This position will be responsible for purchasing materials, components, and services needed to support ongoing production. The ideal candidate has manufacturing purchasing experience, understands MRP/ERP systems, and is comfortable working directly with suppliers to keep materials on schedule. Responsibilities Review purchasing requirements and place purchase orders based on production needs. Monitor open orders and follow up with suppliers regarding pricing, quantities, and delivery dates. Identify potential shortages or delays and take action to prevent production interruptions. Obtain and compare supplier quotes and assist with sourcing alternate vendors when needed. Work with Production, Engineering, Inventory, and other internal teams to resolve purchasing issues. Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information within the company's ERP/MRP system. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while holding vendors accountable for commitments. Assist with cost savings, sourcing initiatives, and supplier negotiations. Track orders from initial purchase through final receipt. Communicate potential issues early and help develop solutions to keep production moving. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in purchasing, buying, materials, procurement, or supply chain. Manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience with MRP or ERP purchasing systems. Experience managing and expediting purchase orders. Familiarity with industrial equipment, machinery, fabrication, or similar manufacturing environments is a plus. Ability to review basic part information, specifications, drawings, or bills of materials. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple orders based on production requirements. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Pay:
$96,741.13 - $116,505.45 per yearBenefits:
