Full Job Description Position Purpose:
Procure goods, materials and services to ensure the company's operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality, and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.
Essential Functions:
Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems; eliminate/mitigate risks which may impact production and business operations. Solicit formal and informal bids, prepare bid specifications and coordinate bid process, considering TCO and leveraging volume/spend across all divisions. Minimize company exposure of excess and obsolete material; review & drive appropriate action to reduce inventory reserve amounts. Develop, audit and maintain vendor performance records and make recommendations for corrective action where required. Manage the Non-Conforming Material and Warranty process to ensure claims are resolved within allotted time-frame. Review and respond to annual NAFTA solicitations and/or COO requests with accurate part description, value, material, etc. to avoid penalties and delayed shipments. Responsible for compiling data and submitting monthly Purchasing scorecard performance. Maintain ERP supplier master database with accurate information. Education and Training Bachelor's degree in related discipline and
CPM/CPIM/CPSCM
preferred. Minimum Qualifications IMDS, NAFTA and Export Compliance experience a plus. Must be proficient in MS Office software, particularly, Excel. Must have extensive experience w/ ERP systems, such as Oracle, JDE, SAP, QAD. Ability to problem solve and identify root cause & implement corrective action. Ability to write clear, concise, and effective correspondence; Ability to manage, prioritize, and complete multiple assignments while meeting deadlines. Must be attentive to detail and consistently demonstrate a high degree of accuracy. Track record of identifying & implementing cost savings initiatives.
