Type:
full-time The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented team player who will oversee the entire order process. You will review proposals, negotiate prices, select the best suppliers, analyze trends, follow up with placed orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records.
Essential Responsibilities:
Research, source, and purchase products and parts for customer orders and equipment projects. Coordinate with the Production Control team and Purchasing Manager to determine purchasing needs and priorities. Provide product and pricing quotes to the Parts Sales team. Purchase supplies, materials, and parts needed to support shop leads and daily operations. Research, analyze, and monitor current and future buying trends, markets, products, pricing, and availability, with consideration for target markets and customer demographics. Develop and maintain professional relationships with wholesalers, suppliers, and vendors. Negotiate pricing, contracts, terms, and purchasing agreements with wholesalers and suppliers. Evaluate the financial risks and potential impact of purchasing decisions. Monitor product availability, pricing, lead times, and market conditions to support timely and cost-effective purchasing decisions. Maintain accurate purchasing records, documentation, and order information. Communicate with internal teams and external suppliers regarding product specifications, pricing, availability, orders, and delivery requirements. Attend trade shows, product exhibitions, conferences, and other industry events to maintain current knowledge of new products, suppliers, and market trends. Work cross-functionally with purchasing, production control, parts sales, shop leads, and other teams to ensure purchasing needs are met efficiently and accurately. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years of purchasing experience required. Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, parts, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or a related field preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Strong typing skills with an emphasis on accuracy. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to compile and analyze information and make sound purchasing decisions. Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and vendors. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective supplier and internal business relationships. Knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier management, product sourcing, and inventory or materials management preferred. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. No fields configured
