•We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the researching and purchasing of goods and coordinating materials in and out of our facility, ensuring that shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience with the steel fabrication/construction and familiarity with inventory management processes. Responsibilities Research best options, Purchase, Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. Prepare outgoing shipments by ensuring total accuracy and products are tracked accurately. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipment schedules, and delivery confirmations. Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely sourcing of materials required for production planning. Utilize knowledge of steel vendors and understands who has the best prices. Aggressively driving down vendor pricing and proposals to get the best price for Precision Iron Fabrication. Coordinate with various departments to resolve any discrepancies related to shipping or receiving. Skills Proficiency in operating purchasing processes. Strong understanding of Steel Fabrication/Construction vendors. Experience with production planning and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is a plus. Ability to effectively source materials and manage contracts related to shipping operations. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
