$52,000-60,000

Job Summary:
Responsible for purchasing and planning materials needed to support manufacturing operations. This role manages supplier relationships, purchase orders, inventory requirements, pricing, and delivery while working closely with engineering and operations to ensure materials are available when needed.
Job Duties:
Manage purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders for direct materials and production needsDevelop and maintain supplier relationships while identifying new sourcing opportunities as neededNegotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery expectations, and other purchasing requirements with suppliersMonitor and expedite orders to ensure materials arrive on time and production requirements are metWork with suppliers, engineering, and operations to resolve quality, delivery, and material-related issuesMonitor supplier performance and act when cost, quality, or delivery expectations are not being metSupport inventory planning and maintain appropriate material levels and MRP settings.

Coordinate purchasing requirements related to engineering changes, prints, and specificationsIdentify cost-reduction opportunities and respond to changes in material pricing, availability, and market conditionsSupport subcontracting and temporary outsourcing requirements as needed
Qualifications:
5+ years of industrial purchasing experience, including direct material purchasing within a heavy manufacturing environmentBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be consideredExperience with ERP/MRP systems and material planningStrong supplier negotiation and relationship management skillsAbility to read blueprints and understand manufacturing processesStrong Excel and Microsoft Office skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information. #inPR
