Overview Join our dynamic supply chain team as a Purchasing Agent, where your expertise will drive procurement excellence and streamline our manufacturing and logistics operations. In this vital role, you will manage supplier relationships, optimize inventory levels, and ensure the seamless flow of materials to support production schedules. Responsibilities Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with demand planning and production scheduling to ensure timely availability of materials. Utilize SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, and other enterprise solutions to process purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage supplier data efficiently. Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, logistics, warehouse management systems, and plant management teams to optimize supply chain planning and inventory levels. Conduct data analysis using Excel and SQL to monitor procurement performance metrics, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Manage logistics inventory within warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment. Lead supplier negotiations, evaluate vendor performance, and foster strong relationships to secure favorable terms and reliable supply sources. Support software implementation projects related to ERP systems and supply chain solutions to enhance operational workflows. Skills Proficiency with SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, SQL, and Excel data analysis tools for effective procurement management. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and lean manufacturing principles. Experience with logistics management, warehouse systems, and supply chain planning to ensure optimal inventory flow. Knowledge of enterprise solutions implementation within manufacturing environments to improve operations management. Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills across teams such as production planning, plant management, logistics, and procurement. Demonstrated leadership in team settings with the ability to guide projects related to software implementation or process improvements. Familiarity with logistics inventory management systems, demand forecasting tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
