This role ensures timely purchase order execution, supplier commitment follow-up, material availability for production, and resolution of material or payment issues. The position requires close coordination with internal teams and suppliers to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Supplier Management Issue purchase orders (POs) to vendors based on MRP requirements, defined dates, and lead times. Follow up on PO confirmations and track delivery schedules. Ensure timely PO rescheduling, including order cancellation when required. Expedite critical parts and resolve delivery delays or discrepancies to support production plans. Send weekly supplier forecasts and follow up on supplier commitments. Inventory & Material Control Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to prevent shortages or overstock. Manage and follow up on defective material disposition. Coordinate with NPI on material disposition related to engineering changes. Work with AM/MC teams on excess material disposition. Notify production planning, order fulfillment, or account management teams of material issues that may impact production. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with Planning, Logistics, Receiving Warehouse, SQM, QA, NPI, MPM, and Finance teams to resolve material and payment issues efficiently. Ensure freight and expediting decisions comply with company policies and authorization limits. Collaborate with Finance on invoicing, payment issues, and cost analysis. Supplier Performance & Reporting Review supplier performance and communicate findings to sourcing teams for vendor evaluation. Generate and maintain reports related to procurement, inventory, and supplier performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Power BI, Power Automate, and SharePoint. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork and coordination skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and negotiation skills. Ability to train and coordinate others when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Experience generating reports. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred. Education /
Experience:
College degree required.
Work Environment:
Flexibility to align some working hours with Asia daytime time zones. Ability to manage task-oriented work under pressure. Flexibility to visit the Juárez, Mexico site as needed.
