On-Site, Full Time Company Background Since 2014, Full Circle Solutions has been an industry leader in private-label skincare and turnkey product development for both the cosmetics and nutraceutical industries. Full Circle Solutions' top priority is to provide excellent service and achieve advanced innovation through a wide range of services that include client guidance, private label offerings, custom formulation, contract manufacturing, and complete product design. Scope of Position The Purchasing Associate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day procurement process including purchasing packaging, labels, silk-screening services, raw materials and office supplies. Sourcing compatible suppliers and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services will be a core focus. Emphasis will also be on inventory accuracy and ongoing cost optimization. Importance is placed upon collaboration with both vendors and internal cross-functional departments including the accounting, operations, inventory and warehouse leaders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detailed oriented, responsive and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires solid communication skills, a high degree of integrity, flexibility and a desire for both continuous improvement and growth. Job Responsibilities- Source and evaluate suppliers based upon quality, price, reliability and lead time
- Obtain competitive quotes and negotiate pricing, delivery timelines and terms when appropriate
- Monitor purchase orders from placement to delivery and proactively follow up on outstanding matters
- Coordinate with the warehouse, inventory, accounting and operations leaders to meet purchasing requirements and production targets with respect to client deadlines
- Escalate purchasing challenges and communicate potential delays in a timely matter
- Source and evaluate shipping and transportation services where necessary
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors
- Collaborate with accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies and damaged goods matters
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, contacts and supplier information
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
- Operate with respect to inventory accuracy and cost optimization
- Maintain a sense of urgency and a high rate of responsiveness Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, communications or related field
- A proven track record and a minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience
- Skincare, nutrition or cosmetic experience is an advantage
- Solid knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience with ERP or purchasing software is helpful
- Familiarity and comfort with light manufacturing environment
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability to pace with consistent company growth
- Ability to maintain flexibility and positivity in a changing environment
- Extreme attention to detail and accuracy of work
- A team player with a firm sense of integrity and moral conviction
- Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
