Job Description

Work with Supply Chain Analysts to procure material in support of production requirements Compile and issue Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders to suppliers Conduct in depth data analysis to identify cost saving and cost avoidance opportunities through material procurement strategy Execute supplier negotiations Compile and manipulate data in order to make informed business decisions Other duties as assigned
Requirements Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline preferred
Experience:
5+ years of experience in material procurement in a manufacturing environment Aerospace and Defense background preferred Knowledge of best purchasing practices as a government contractor Rich knowledge of Supply Chain Management field and how it operates in a Manufacturing environment
Security:
Must be a US citizen Ability and to obtain a clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machinery Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Short Term & Long Term Disability Training & Development Wellness Resources
