Procurement Department The team leads these efforts from conception through commissioning, working with Sales, Operations, Site Development, and Engineering along the way. Procurement also works closely with vendor partners to come up with a vertically integrated design, and we manage these partners to deliver the projects on schedule and budget. One thing that distinguishes Vantage is that our technical staff is given the responsibility and authority to directly drive the process. When compared to external resources, our internal team can align long-term operational sustainability with value engineering and cost metrics to deliver products aligned with corporate goals. This approach empowers each member of the team to drive high- impact decisions and even more impactful results. Position Overview This position will be based on-site at our office in Ashburn, VA in alignment with our flexible work policy (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible). Vantage is looking for a self-starter in the role of a Senior Procurement Analyst to be part of a team that manages OFCI Equipment, which is the second largest individual cost within the construction process, and to become engaged in the supply chain aspects of our Data Centers. In this role, you will be responsible for record keeping, assist in obtaining vendors submittals, maintaining product specifications, working with vendors, working with the Procurement team to ensure specifications are adhered to in accordance to our company process, monitor and managing contracts, prepare status and tracking reports for the company, support the Procurement Managers and Senior Director in their daily tasks. Regular collaboration and coordination are required with our supply chain partners and internal teams such as Engineering, Operations, Legal, as well as multiple Construction Management Teams. Travel will be necessary to various factories for factory witness testing, audits, and on-boarding of new vendors. Minimal travel to Vantage Data Center sites may also be required occasionally. Essential Job Functions The individual will be continuously working with the procurement team to provide the daily assistance needed to ensure the department meets and exceeds its goals with the company. Individual will be a self-starter and with the ability to manage and assist multiple single line diagrams, product specifications and driving OFCI Equipment submittals to closure (approval). Successful candidate will understand RFIs and RFQs for the sourcing of equipment for low voltage switchgear, medium switchgear, transformers, electrical skids, CRAH's, chillers, generators, UPS's and other data center equipment systems as needed. Coordinate with vendors on continuous quality improvement. Manage and track equipment status with the vendors such that all scheduled dates set by the construction schedules are met. Analyze and negotiate vendor quotes, change orders and back charges. Learn and manage the financial software to enter PO's, review invoices, track budgets, allocate equipment from purchase to the projects. Support Procurement Managers and Finance / Accounting with invoicing issues. Drive project-level tasks and milestones assigned by the project management team. Coordinates with vendors for scheduling start-up and commissioning support services from the vendors Maintain and develop supplier relationships. Help develop and maintain record keeping and reports for the business. Continue to work and help refine the procurement processes to make sure they are complying and efficient. Work with compliance to maintain the department and vendors are within guidelines. Work with operational personnel of the Vantage buildings to ensure the proper spare parts and service programs are properly in place and assist with their database. Continue safety evaluations with vendors and project sites to make compliance is met. Senior Analyst should be able to manage the full OFCI equipment package on a VDC development project with minimal support/assistance from a Procurement Manager. Duties Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and operational requirements. Work with finance and compliance to ensure all purchases have appropriately been costed to a project. Help coordinate the approval and release of the necessary equipment per construction schedule. Continue to investigate and work with vendors to make sure their products are best suited for Vantage. Support open and transparent communication with project teams for project delivery success. Negotiate complex requests for equipment and services from suppliers and subcontractors. Manage equipment inventory planning efforts and forecasting. Additional Duties as assigned by Management. Job Requirements Bachelor of Science in engineering, construction science, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field or equivalent experience, is required. 3+ years of experience in a supply chain or construction role is required. Data Center, commercial, or industrial equipment experience is strongly preferred. Ability to learn quickly and drive things to closure. Strong business acumen with a strong commercial background. Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques. Travel is expected to be up to 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves.
