Overview Media Specialist - Sourcing Page (2026-26196): Digital Media Specialist - Sourcing Page Bowhead is seeking to network with Digital Media Specialists at multiple experience levels for future opportunities supporting our team at IWSL, Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWC Dahlgren), Dahlgren, VA. These positions support digital media, data management, documentation, accountability, and logistics operations for a Department of War (DoW) customer. This is not traditional librarian work. Digital Media Specialists support the secure receipt, processing, tracking, storage, accountability, configuration, distribution, and delivery of digital computer media, data, technical documentation, and related materials. We are seeking candidates who are organized, dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working with computers and electronic tracking systems, and able to consistently follow established procedures. Opportunities may range from entry-level through experienced Senior/Lead positions. Direct Media Library experience is not necessarily required for entry-level candidates. Candidates with transferable skills and a demonstrated ability to learn detailed processes are encouraged to apply. 7+ years experience: $74,000/annually to $85,000/annually Responsibilities Job duties may include but are not limited to: Receive, process, track, store, issue, and prepare digital media, data, documentation, and related materials. Maintain accurate electronic and physical accountability records. Enter, review, compare, and update information in databases and electronic tracking systems. Apply and verify required labels, markings, barcodes, classification information, and other identifying information. Prepare and review shipping, transmittal, delivery, and accountability documentation. Track incoming and outgoing media and maintain accurate distribution histories. Conduct inventories and research and reconcile discrepancies. Support the proper handling and accountability of controlled, sensitive, and classified materials. Coordinate with Government customers, program personnel, and other stakeholders to obtain information and resolve issues. Manage multiple requirements and priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting established schedules. Identify incomplete or conflicting information and coordinate with appropriate personnel to determine the correct course of action. Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), security requirements, contract requirements, and customer processes. Assist with the development and maintenance of SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation. Escalate matters requiring Government approval, management authority, security determinations, or actions outside assigned authority. At the Senior/Lead level, independently assess non-routine requirements, coordinate issue resolution, mentor or train personnel, and support process improvement and continuity of Qualifications High School Diploma required; additional education, technical training, or relevant experience may be considered based on position level. Experience requirements will vary based on position level. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential. Ability to maintain accurate records and recognize discrepancies or incomplete information. Ability to learn and consistently follow detailed procedures and security requirements. Experience or familiarity with computers, databases, electronic tracking systems, inventory systems, or document management software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, management, Government customers, and other stakeholders. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong judgment, accountability, dependability, and follow-through. Relevant transferable experience may include administrative support, data entry, inventory control, shipping and receiving, logistics, warehouse operations, records management, document control, configuration management, IT support, customer service, or military experience.
