Nightwing is seeking a Procurement and Vendor Specialist to support a dynamic, high-performing program with an excellent reputation. This role requires a proactive professional who can manage a wide range of procurement activities—from rapid, short-turn purchases to complex purchase orders for materials, services, and labor subcontracts.

The Procurement and Vendor Specialist will be part of a collaborative team responsible for executing technical, facilities, and logistical procurements. This individual will work closely with project teams to analyze procurement objectives, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure timely delivery of customer requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and facilitate project coordination sessions with diverse internal and external stakeholdersAssess project execution goals and develop procurement and acquisition strategies aligned with customer satisfaction objectivesExecute procurement and acquisition strategies as part of a cross-functional supply chain teamPrepare purchase requests for materials and support the development of Subcontract Statements of Work (SSOWs)Serve as a liaison between program teams and procurement, contracts, and other stakeholdersManage procurement activities independently while contributing effectively within a team environmentIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and accuracyContribute to overall procurement and project team success through collaboration and accountability
Clearance Requirement :
TS/SCI with POLYRequired ExperienceMinimum 2+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, contracts, or subcontractsExperience supporting procurement activities within government contracting environmentsProven ability to develop and execute procurement and acquisition strategiesExperience preparing purchase requests and supporting SSOW developmentStrong experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and shifting prioritiesRequired SkillsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience working with ERP systemsWorking knowledge of FAR regulations, company policy, and program run rulesProfessional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to manage tasks from assignment through completion, including delegation and follow-throughWillingness to work as required to meet program timelines and objectivesStrong judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environmentsDesired SkillsFamiliarity with engineering and construction disciplines, including:

ElectricalMechanicalArchitectural / StructuralFire ProtectionTelecommunicationsSecurity design and constructionExperience developing detailed Subcontract Statements of Work (SSOWs)Salary & BenefitsThe salary associated with this position ($77,000-$163,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
