Description Summary:
The Order Management and Procurement Specialist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day sales operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer orders, managing procurement activities, and maintaining clear communication with both internal teams and external customers. This role bridges customer service and purchasing to deliver a seamless order experience, while ensuring product availability and on-time delivery in a fast-paced, technical distribution environment.

Profit Center Manager Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in order entry, purchasing, customer service, or sales support Basic understanding of purchasing processes and inventory coordination Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Experience using ERP or order management systems
Additional Competencies:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to customer support Ability to interpret purchase orders, quotes, and inventory reports
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in an industrial distribution, electrical supply, or automation-related environment Familiarity with vendor portals, third-party billing systems, or procurement software Working knowledge of industrial automation and electrical components
Working Conditions:
Conditions vary base on needed activities and will include office, warehouse, and external environments. Some activities will include lifting (up to 50lbs), sorting, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Remote work is not available for this position. Work Schedule is M-F, 7am-4pm with some occasionally required O/T and weekends as needed.

Responding to customer quote requests in a timely manner Contacting Vendors for current material pricing and availability Enter and process customer orders with accuracy and attention to detail Place purchase orders with vendors and manage order confirmations Monitor inventory levels and coordinate sourcing from alternate suppliers when needed Track order status and proactively communicate updates to customers and sales teams Upload invoices and documentation to third-party billing portals as required Resolve order discrepancies, delays, or backorders with vendors and internal teams Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, warehouse personnel, and sales staff Assist in improving order workflow and sourcing processes to enhance efficiency Support customer service by answering order-related inquiries and ensuring satisfaction Utilize ERP and CRM systems for order tracking, inventory management, and reporting Answer and respond to customer calls and emails. Assist customers that come to the counter. Make deliveries as needed by operating a light van or delivery truck Operation of Industrial Fork Truck, manual pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment as needed Continued education using CED's and Vendor's learning platforms to develop and enhance your product knowledge CED is an Equal Opportunity Employer

Veteran Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is $45000 to $65000 annually.
