We are seeking a Buyer for a precision aerospace components manufacturer, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in procurement and supplier management looking to further their career in aerospace manufacturing. Own third-party processing relationships on the production floor, managing purchase orders for outsourced manufacturing services (e.g., finishing, anodizing) and driving on-time return of parts to keep production moving to the next step Issue and manage POs with urgency; run open order reports, coordinate supplier pull-ins and push-outs, and proactively prevent shortages and stop-builds across a fast-paced, high-complexity environment Negotiate vendor pricing, PO cancellations, lead-time adjustments, and long-term agreements (LTAs/MSAs) to secure favorable cost, quality, and on-time delivery terms Build productive, results-driven supplier relationships — knowing when to escalate by phone or supplier visit rather than waiting on email responses Leverage ERP systems to pull production forecasts, manage purchasing parameters, and recommend stocking strategies including min/max, safety stock, and lead-time adjustmentsESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS 2-5
years of procurement or purchasing experience in a highly regulated, fast-paced manufacturing environment; aerospace or precision manufacturing experience strongly preferred Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and driving on-time delivery in a high-complexity production setting ERP system proficiency required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) certification is a plusWHY AVERRO?
