Building on nearly 50 years of success, we deliver Payload & Protection Systems, Aero/Hydrodynamic Interstage Systems, and Propulsion & Launch Systems to more than 80 prime contractors supporting over 130 space and defense programs. This role is part of our Hypersonics and Strategic Missile Defense business, which designs, develops, and delivers highly dependable missile systems for hypersonic and strategic missile defense missions. We provide integrated, mission-ready hardware that brings together multiple technologies into unified systems engineered to perform in demanding operational environments. Our tip-to-tail capabilities include payload protection and deployment systems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic interstage systems, separation systems, missile subsystems, shroud systems, launch systems, and payload integration solutions. As a Procurement Agent, you lead sourcing strategies that support developmental and production programs, integrate business and program goals, and drive cost‑effective supplier partnerships. This role contributes to program execution, supply chain resilience, and production readiness by managing supplier relationships, coordinating procurement activities, and supporting full‑lifecycle sourcing decisions. Schedule This role follows a 9/80 schedule, with 9-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, an 8-hour shift every other Friday, and the alternating Friday off. Responsibilities Sends requests for quotes (RFQs) to suppliers during procurement phases for new programs and proposals. Provides strategic guidance on sourcing by assessing critical supplier performance, strengths, and weaknesses. Hosts supplier kick‑off meetings to ensure production readiness and alignment with program needs. Leads cross‑functional teams to identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities. Monitors market trends, material shortages, and obsolescence risks to support proactive supply chain management. Coordinates Manufacturing Readiness Reviews to assess supplier capacity, delivery performance, quality reliability, and contractual compliance. Supports risk mitigation by evaluating supply base capabilities and developing contingency plans for critical hardware and components. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, preferably within space, aerospace, or defense industries. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Office), Excel, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships across diverse stakeholders. Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices and attention to detail. A current U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field. Five or more years of experience in supplier management or project management. Five or more years of experience with improvement methodologies such as Lean, systematic problem solving, value capture, or strategy tables. Experience using Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Special Mentions This role requires occasional travel (0-10%).
