Job Description

Location :
Richland, WA 99354 The Procurement Engineer I will support procurement, technical evaluation, procedure development, and engineering activities for station equipment, spare parts, and systems. The role will develop and maintain technical and administrative procedures, evaluate replacement equipment and parts, prepare procurement specifications, and ensure compliance with station requirements, license basis documents, and applicable regulatory standards. The position will also support outage activities, corrective actions, equipment qualification, and technical resolution of procurement-related issues.
Job Responsibilities:
Create, review, revise, and maintain station Operations, Administrative, and technical procedures Ensure procedures are technically accurate and aligned with human factors principles Ensure station documents comply with applicable station, regulatory, and administrative requirements Interpret drawings, manuals, instructions, guidelines, license basis documents, and technical requirements Convert complex technical requirements into clear and understandable procedural steps Implement recommendations from Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and other station organizations Ensure procedures incorporate requirements from applicable license basis documents, technical specifications, ODCM, LCS, and FSAR Verify procedures are consistent with station drawings, vendor manuals, codes, and other source documents Ensure procedural changes address ALARA, chemical, environmental, and industrial safety requirements Prepare and implement Procedure Change Notices Provide technical expertise and resolve procedural issues with reviewers Develop test methodologies to verify compliance with applicable standards, requirements, and commitments Assist Engineering in determining appropriate system operation and testing requirements Select appropriate test equipment based on engineering calculations and manufacturer requirements Incorporate FAO and OER recommendations into applicable procedures and technical documents Review design changes for procedural impacts Disposition and implement corrective action program items and other assigned action items Support planned and forced outage activities Develop and revise procedures supporting other station organizations Serve as a Qualified Procedure Reviewer Represent the Maintenance organization during technical and procedural review processes Recommend and implement improvements to administrative processes Coordinate with internal customers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of technical products Verify fit, form, and function of spare parts and replacement equipment Maintain accurate parts inventory and support parts availability requirements Prepare technical and quality evaluations for replacement equipment and plant parts Evaluate proposed equipment and part substitutions and update design databases as required Prepare dedication plans for commercial-grade items Prepare procurement specifications for equipment and components Perform equipment qualification analyses Evaluate quality classifications for equipment and parts Identify, evaluate, and resolve technical and quality issues affecting procurement activities Support Emergency Response Organization responsibilities by maintaining applicable qualifications and participating in drills and emergency response activities Perform additional engineering, procurement, procedure development, and technical support duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university. High school diploma or GED with a Professional Engineer (PE) license obtained by accredited examination may be considered.
