Job Description
Job Summary A busy construction services organization in Renton, WA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to support procurement, vendor coordination, inventory logistics, and project purchasing needs. This opportunity is ideal for someone with 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, or project coordination experience who enjoys keeping operations organized and moving forward. The Purchasing Coordinator will work closely with project managers, field teams, accounting, warehouse personnel, and vendors to ensure materials, equipment, rentals, and services are available when needed. This role offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with supportive leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to build valuable experience in purchasing and operations support. This is a strong fit for someone who is resourceful, responsive, organized, and comfortable managing shifting priorities while helping projects stay on schedule and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Create, manage, revise, and track purchase orders for materials, equipment, rentals, subcontracted services, and project-related needs.
- Source materials and services from qualified vendors, obtain quotes, compare pricing, and help ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships, support vendor onboarding, track supplier performance, and assist with approved supplier records.
- Coordinate with warehouse and field teams to support deliveries, inventory accuracy, tool management, backorders, shortages, and damaged goods resolution.
- Review invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation, research discrepancies, and maintain accurate purchasing records.
- Support project teams and field personnel by anticipating procurement needs, resolving vendor issues, and improving purchasing processes. Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.

Location:
Renton, WA. Required Qualifications and Skills- Manage purchase orders, purchasing documentation, vendor records, and project-related procurement transactions.
- Coordinate material sourcing, vendor quotes, order status updates, shipments, and inventory support.
- Support invoice review, discrepancy resolution, warranty claims, returns, credits, and purchasing file maintenance.
- Collaborate with project managers, field teams, accounting, warehouse staff, and vendors to keep operations running efficiently.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory control, project coordination, or a related operations support role.
- Experience creating and managing purchase orders and vendor documentation.
- Familiarity with ERP, accounting, inventory, or purchasing software systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to negotiate pricing, lead times, and purchasing terms with suppliers.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction, trades, industrial services, manufacturing, or a related project-based operational environment.
- Experience sourcing specialty materials, equipment, rentals, or subcontracted services.
- Background supporting field operations, warehouse teams, or project managers.
- Experience tracking supplier performance, delivery timelines, inventory availability, and vendor responsiveness.
