Job description STL Staffing is looking for a Purchasing and Estimating Coordinator to join a team in Green Bay, WI. This is a full-time, in-person role for someone organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at keeping things moving. If you enjoy working with vendors, comparing pricing, tracking orders, and making sure the details are right, this one is worth a look. You'll support projects from the estimating stage through purchasing and material delivery, working closely with vendors, production, project management, estimating, and accounting. Experience in purchasing, procurement, estimating, project coordination, or manufacturing is a great start, and this role gives you room to grow your skills across a variety of responsibilities. What You'll Do Purchasing and Vendor Coordination Prepare, process, and maintain purchase orders with accurate pricing, quantities, and delivery information. Get vendor quotes and compare pricing, availability, and lead times. Stay in touch with vendors about pricing, orders, shipping, and delivery schedules. Track purchase orders from placement through receipt of materials. Follow up on backorders, delayed shipments, discrepancies, and other purchasing issues. Verify invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders for accuracy. Keep accurate purchasing records, vendor information, and pricing data. Help with inventory checks and monitor material needs to support production and project schedules. Look for ways to save money through competitive sourcing and better vendor pricing. Estimating Support Assist estimators in preparing accurate, on-time project estimates. Review project specifications, drawings, and scopes of work to gather the information needed for estimates. Prepare material and labor cost information. Request and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes. Review estimates for accuracy, completeness, and pricing consistency. Keep organized documentation for purchases, quotes, and vendor correspondence. Project and Administrative Support Work closely with the estimating, project management, production, and accounting teams. Create and maintain part numbers and item information in company systems. Keep purchasing and material needs aligned with project schedules. Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while staying accurate and following through. Provide administrative support to the purchasing and estimating teams as needed. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of experience in purchasing, procurement, estimating, project coordination, manufacturing, or a related role. Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or project-based environment is preferred. Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep accurate records and pricing information. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfort communicating with vendors and working with internal teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Experience with ERP, purchasing, inventory, or estimating software is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaborate well with others. A reliable, proactive approach to purchasing and project deadlines. Ability to handle confidential company, customer, vendor, and pricing information. Why This Opportunity This role gives you the chance to build experience in both purchasing and estimating while seeing the full project lifecycle. You'll see how projects are quoted, how materials are sourced, how costs are managed, and how products move through production. If you enjoy solving problems, comparing costs, and keeping projects organized, this could be a great way to grow your career in manufacturing.
