Create-A-Pack Foods is a food co-packer and manufacturer located in beautiful Lake Country Wisconsin with locations in both Ixonia as well as Oconomowoc. Over the past 25+ years, Create-A-Pack has grown from an entrepreneurial vision to a multimillion dollar operation that employs over 200 local employees. As we continue to grow, we are looking for hard working, reliable, and dedicated employees to join our team!
We are currently looking for a passionate & experienced buyer who is solutions focused with a diplomatic and tactful approach. This Buyer role is primarily focused on sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials required to support new product launches and customer-supplied inventory. The position has a direct interface with key suppliers, customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders with the goal of establishing and maintaining relationships, and ensuring materials are on time, meet quality standards, and support customer expectations while maintaining cost-effective procurement practices. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develop the master data for raw & packaging materials related to new item creation to include pricing, minimum order requirements, shipping details and other critical data
Track and expedite open orders & customer supplied items to ensure supplies are delivered on time to meet production & productivity requirements & provide feedback to suppliers or carriers that are not meeting set expectations
Provide clear and concise information & updates to internal stakeholders to help mitigate risk to the master production schedule
Utilize industry knowledge to anticipate logistical risks associated with scheduled deliveries and brainstorm solutions in real time
Support the RMA and carrier damage processes by collecting complete data to support a timely return process with vendors and carriers
Coordinate new supplier and new product information discovery to include requests for regulatory documents, COA/COCs, credit applications, product and storage specifications, and other documents to support the manufacturing goals
Support maintenance and engineering by providing backup to the MRO Admin as needed
Support Senior Buyers in PO approval for isolated accounts
Responsible for following food quality and safety guidelines
