Job Summary The Maintenance Buyer supports the maintenance departments with sourcing and procurement of supplies, parts and external services. Responsible for management of parts rooms. Duties and Responsibilities Create purchase orders for all plant parts. Track vendors and orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of items. Oversee consumables usage in all work areas. Manage parts rooms inventories. Work closely with Maintenance Planners on forecasting upcoming maintenance needs. Work close with Accounting to on approved vendors list. Ensure purchases comply with all Company policies: Food Safety, Safety, GMP, etc… Provide reports and data analysis. Supervise Inventory Coordinators. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma required. Technical Diploma or coursework in related field preferred. 2+ years' experience in similar role preferred. Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers. Parts inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment.
