Description:
Purchasing & Materials Coordinator $25ph+ (based on experience) 1st shift, Monday - Friday Located ONSITE in Manitowoc, WI Temporary - could become permanent for the right candidate We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented professional to support purchasing, inventory, receiving, and shipping activities within a manufacturing environment. This position will help ensure materials and supplies are available when needed for production while maintaining accurate inventory and purchasing records. Key Responsibilities
Source materials and supplies, obtain quotes, and place purchase orders.
Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, delivery, and quality.
Expedite orders as needed to meet production schedules.
Negotiate vendor pricing and terms and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain purchasing, receiving, inventory, and item master records.
Review invoices and resolve pricing, receiving, or quantity discrepancies.
Receive, inspect, identify, and properly store incoming materials.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and year-end inventory.
Track material locations, usage, returns, credits, and replacements.
Prepare packing lists, shipping documentation, receiving reports, and material records.
Coordinate outgoing shipments using efficient and cost-effective shipping methods. #Manitowoc1
Requirements:
- Previous purchasing, inventory, materials, or supply chain experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Associate degree in Materials Management, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred; bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with computerized purchasing and inventory systems.
- Strong communication and vendor relationship skills.
- Ability to prioritize changing production and material needs.
- Forklift experience or willingness to obtain required training.
