Entry-Level Buyer Paget Equipment | Marshfield, WI Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Monday-Friday | On-Site Paget Equipment is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our manufacturing team as an Entry-Level Buyer . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in purchasing, procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, or business operations and wants to build a career in purchasing. Previous purchasing experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person who demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and a willingness to learn. What You'll Learn and Do Learn the company's purchasing and procurement processes. Create and manage purchase orders under the direction of experienced purchasing personnel. Request quotes from suppliers and compare pricing, availability, and lead times. Assist with purchasing steel, stainless steel, plate, pipe, fittings, valves, welding consumables, and other manufacturing materials. Monitor open purchase orders and communicate with vendors regarding delivery dates. Learn how material requirements are determined from engineering and production information. Assist with identifying long-lead materials and understanding when materials need to be ordered. Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, pricing, quantities, and delivery. Assist in resolving purchasing and material issues. Maintain accurate purchasing information in the company's ERP/MRP system. Work with Receiving and Accounting to resolve discrepancies. Assist with maintaining vendor information and purchasing records. Learn how purchasing decisions affect production schedules and customer commitments. Gradually take ownership of purchasing responsibilities as experience and knowledge develop. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, curious, and willing to learn . Previous purchasing experience is helpful but not required . Experience or education in any of the following would be beneficial: Manufacturing Purchasing or procurement Supply chain Business Operations Materials management Engineering or engineering technology Industrial technology Inventory management The Right Candidate Will Have Strong attention to detail. Good organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication skills. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Ability to learn new software and processes. Ability to work effectively with vendors and coworkers. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. A willingness to ask questions and learn. A strong sense of follow-through and personal responsibility. ASME pressure-vessel experience is not required. Manufacturing experience is helpful but not necessary.
