In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of various non-production goods and services, contributing to the smooth operation of our organization. This is a learning level position within Global Sourcing and provides a starting point for development of sourcing fundamentals through on-the-job experience and practical training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Vendor Management:
Develop andmaintainrelationships with indirect suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensureoptimalpricing, quality, and delivery.
Contract Management:
Maintaincontract records, responsible for keeping track of all contracts, including the start and end dates, renewal options, and any amendments that have been made.
Cost Optimization:
Identifycost-saving opportunities through analysis of supplier contracts, market trends, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Risk Management:
Assess and mitigate potential risks related to supplier relationships, contractual agreements, and market fluctuations.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal stakeholders such as finance, operations, and various departments to understand their indirect procurement needs and provide effective solutions.
Market Research:
Stay informed about market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to indirect sourcing, providing insights to the procurement team.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all sourcing activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree (Operations Management or International Business)
WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years' experience preferably in a supply chain function (planning, manufacturing,logistics, distribution)
SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. A willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
